We call ourselves Idaho Gold because our true gold isn't the honey — it's the quality we expect, and the value we place on the crew that powers everything right here in Idaho.
Idaho Gold exists to build careers, not just jobs. Through the Idaho Gold Workforce Program, we work with University of Idaho Extension to train and certify our crew in food safety (GMP and HACCP) and food manufacturing.
When you buy a tube, you're not just getting honey. You're helping fund training, certifications, and mentorship. Hours on a real production line. The dignity of a finished product with someone's hands on it.
This isn't charity. It's craft. And the people doing the work are why we can put our name on the label.
The Workforce Program isn't a pipeline. It's a curriculum. Our crew trains hands-on in food safety and food manufacturing and earns industry-recognized food-safety certifications taught by University of Idaho Extension. A beekeeping training pilot is next.
Our next step: a beekeeping training pilot we're building with the University of Idaho, covering hive management, extraction, and honey handling.
GMP and HACCP training taught by University of Idaho Extension. The food-safety credentials every food plant looks for.
Food-grade production, filling-line operation, quality control, and inventory management. The skills behind every label that ships out of our facility.
Every tube of Idaho Gold starts with honey from Idaho beekeepers. We buy from multiple Idaho beekeepers, and every batch is traceable back to where it came from.
We don't blend in cheaper imported honey to stretch a batch, and we don't add corn syrup. What's in the tube is Idaho honey plus the real ingredients on the label.
A lot of commercial honey is pasteurized: heated to 161°F or higher. It extends shelf life, keeps the honey clear, and makes industrial bottling faster. It also kills the enzymes, denatures the natural pollen, and dulls the flavor that makes raw honey worth eating.
Our honey is never pasteurized. To make our flavors, we warm the honey to blend in real fruit and spice, then pack it right here in Rexburg.
Like all real honey, ours may crystallize over time. That's not a defect. Set the tube in a bowl of warm water (about 95–100°F) for 15–30 minutes and knead it gently, and it goes liquid again. Never microwave it.
It's the line on the back of every tube. It's also our entire operating philosophy.
Quality honey because we won't put our name on anything we wouldn't feed our families.
Quality opportunities because everyone deserves a real chance to build a skilled career.
Quality futures because every tube helps fund the next training cohort, the next graduate, the next career.
That's the deal. That's the gold.
